Read about Presto 2.3, and try out Presto 2.4

If you want to try our newest engine, Presto 2.4, you can download the Opera Mobile 10 beta for S60. This beta is the first public version with Presto 2.4. There are some limitations, though, as listed in the Opera Mobile 10 beta developer's introduction on Dev.Opera.

I don't have any updates on Carakan or Vega, but our core team is continuing work on Presto 2.4, and of course on versions beyond 2.4. There are a lot of goodies on the way for versions after 2.4, and hopefully we will be able to get future versions out much sooner.

So what happened to Presto 2.3? Well, it's actually out there in some products, such as the Linux SDK. For those of you who need more information on Presto 2.3 or if you are just curious, our documentation team just published a document detailing the Web specifications supported in Opera Presto 2.3.

  1. border-radius (including the non-shorthand and shorthand versions)border-imagebox-shadow

I can't wait to see that in action :sherlock:

  2. ; and elements are partially supported with the start and end attributes of these two elements being removed and replaced with the global loop attribute; see , and

Can't wait on some builds which contain this tags 🙂

Should we read this as "no Presto 2.4 in desktop"? Because it will probably take a while for a new desktop version (after 10.10 of course) and the core team is already working on 2.5

  3. Thank you for the insight! So, there won't be a public release (test) desktop build with 2.3, but already with 2.4 instead, did I understand that correctly? You are not able to give any ETA for a test build, or you?

Does this mean Opera Mobile also supports these tags, or is it only meant for Opera Desktop and the device SDK?

What on earth do you mean by that? What makes you think so, or why are you saying something that inane?
