A few months ago, I linked to a movie about Trusted Computing, which explains in a nice way how the "trust" is more about lack of trust – the lack of trust in customers by many companies. For "Trusted Computing" to work, one needs DRM, or Digital Rights Management. Yet again, whose "digital rights" are we talking about? Companies that want to impose artificial limits on their products of course. So again, it's lack of rights for the customer.
No trust, no rights.
It is also about controlling competition and the market, as The Inquirer points out.
ZDNet also has a short and informative video about the new name for DRM:
Content, Restriction, Annulment, and Protection, or C.R.A.P.
Burocracy and all that junk must die!
This is problem is only going to get worse in time.
please have a look at this movie about Trusted Computing Platform Alliancehttp://www.lafkon.net/tc/very interesting 😀
